My teaching background includes more than thirty-five years of teaching and administration, working with various people in a variety of diverse settings:

This professional journey has led to the authorship of several books about parenting, marriage, creative ways to teach, publications regarding effective teaching and other family life education topics, programs and presentations associated with effective teaching, service as the President of the Family Science Association (FSA), co-chair of the International Conference on the Future of Education, associate editor of the Journal of Human Sciences and Extension, and several local and national teaching awards. I fundamentally believe in "teaching as an intervention" and it is this focus that drives my desire to make a transformational difference in the lives of my students.
